Martin Hanzl ist seit Dezember 2021 als Rechtsanwalt bei EY Law Pelzmann Gall Größ Rechtsanwälte GmbH tätig und leitet dort die Abteilung für New Technologies. Er ist verantwortlich für rechtliche Fragen rund um die Digitalisierung und neue Technologien. Er unterstützt dabei Innovationen zu schützen und in weiterer Folge, rechtlich abgesichtert, zu verwerten.
Er erkannte bereits während seines Studiums die Bedeutung neuer Technologien und promovierte daher auch zum Thema Blockchain & Smart Contracts. Anschließend komplementierte er seine Ausbildung durch einen postgraduate Master im Bereich Informations- und Medienrecht (LL.M.).
Darüber hinaus ist Martin Hanzl Projektverantwortlicher des Blockchain & Smart Contracts Projektes des European Law Institute.
